SCIENCE OF THE FALL COLOR POP

A combination of science and finesse is required to create the signature fall colors we all enjoy throughout Colorado.

Aspens take their cue in September and early October to change as the days get shorter in the fall. The color development also relates to the tree's health, current weather, and other environmental factors like increasing or decreasing moisture. The health of the aspen trees also plays a critical role in the strength of the colors and retaining leaves throughout the season; the more robust an aspen grove, the more stunning the colors will be!
